Hub Director nominated Royal Society of Edinburgh Fellow
Professor Elisa Morgera, Director of the One Ocean Hub, has been nominated Royal
Society of Edinburgh Fellow, which recognises achievement in science, arts,
business, sports, civil society and academia from across Scotland and beyond.
The Royal Society of Edinburgh is Scotland’s national academy of science and letters.
It is a registered charity that operates on a wholly independent and non-partisan basis
and provides public benefit throughout Scotland. Its mission is the deployment of
knowledge for public good. Based on the combined knowledge of our 1,800-strong
Fellowship, the Society provides independent expert advice to policymakers and
inspire the next generation of innovative thinkers, with a view to contributing to the
social and economic wellbeing of Scotland, its people and the nation’s wider
contribution to the global community.
“I look forward to exchanging insights and practices with other Fellows, and further exploring with them to what extent the One Ocean Hub’s innovations can be of interest beyond the realms of ocean governance,” says Professor Morgera.
